Owners Rob & Connie Quinton started the business by following in the footsteps of Rob’s father, who loved the food industry and working with people. From modest beginnings, the business has grown into one of Calgary’s best-known catering companies.
Distinctive now orchestrates elaborate upscale events of all kinds, as well as catering to corporate Calgary. We’ll go anywhere that people are craving a great meal – from weddings and Christmas dinners, to Stampede events and corporate receptions, and everything in between.
Our team is more like a family, and they are the key to our success. We employ 15 full-time staff, as well as banquet servers and managers who keep our workplace fun and friendly. If you combine our experience, you have over 200 years of knowledge in the hospitality industry!

Executive Chef Frazer Todd
Chef Frazer has come from a family of chefs. He received his training in Aberdeen Scotland.His journey took him to Glen Eagles Scotland then to South France on to Amsterdam Netherlands and spent some time in Bern Switzerland. Chef Frazer trained in London and worked under Gordon Ramsay plus spent some time in the kitchen working for the Queen.
In 2002 Frazer came to Canada and worked at the Calgary Tower plus spent some time at the U of C.
