The kitchen staff at Distinctive Catering is committed to keeping our kitchen to the highest standards of cleanliness. Our staff have taken the advanced Food safe certification and our chef is HACCP and trained and has recently taken the COVID – 19 awareness for food service course. We are proud to be able to trace the history of our products from when the ingredients enter our kitchen to when the finished product has been delivered to you as a delicious meal.
Here at Distinctive we strive to keep our production facilities isolated from outside contaminates. Only staff scheduled to work in the kitchen are able to enter. All food deliveries are received and repackaged in sterile containers before entering the kitchen.
Kitchen staff is trained in the correct use of all PPE equipment and at this time we are using face masks in conjunction with our standard equipment. We maintain a gloved hands only policy when handling food, with hand washing and the changing of gloves anytime the work space is left and on the completion/commencement of new tasks. All work surfaces are washed and sanitized at the start and end of each workday and cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day. The kitchen support team maintains sanitation in high traffic areas such as fridge doors and hand wash stations on a constant basis. We have also taken the added precaution of slightly changing the layout of our prep areas to be able to follow social distancing guidelines.
Our delivery vans are sanitized at the start of each day and personnel are sanitizing hands and any equipment used during the delivery process. We are able to provide you with a range of different delivery options depending on your requests; including no contact curb side drop off upon request.
We have reworked our menu and are currently offering a range of our products as individual packaged meals.
